Planting Instructions:

Preparation: Select a sunny, fertile location with well-drained soil. Improve soil fertility with organic compost or well-rotted manure before planting.

Sowing: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost or sow directly in the garden after the danger of frost has passed. Transplant seedlings when they have 3–4 leaves.

Spacing: Space plants 12–18 inches apart in rows 24–36 inches apart to allow ample room for head development.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during head formation. Water at the base of the plant to avoid wetting the leaves.

Care: Remove weeds regularly and mulch to retain soil moisture. Use row covers if needed to protect against pests like cabbage worms.
